The need to pass the depreciation to another organization within the company.
A mid-sized, Pacific Northwest construction company requested the addition of a new company as the co-lessee in order to pass the depreciation from the lease to the new company. Our credit committee based their decision on the strength of the existing company then added the new company as the co-lessee in order to meet the requirements of their accounting firm.
